Welcome to the exhibition Tomoko Yoneda, curated by Paul Wombell, and the first large-scale retrospective of this artist to be held in Spain. Yoneda was born in Japan in 1965 and studied photography first in the United States at the University of Illinois in Chicago, where she earned her BFA, and then at the Royal Academy in London where she completed her MA. She is a citizen of the world whose photographs largely concern late-19th and early 20th century history and memory across a wide geographical range that includes North and South America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
