About

You are most welcome to visit the Cruquius Museum and admire the power of 19th-century steam techniques and the centuries-long battle against the water.

Cruquius Museum tells the story of the reclamation of the Haarlemmermeer. The museum is housed in the former Cruquius Gemaal. In the museum, models, models, maps, machines and other objects are used to explain how the “Delta Works of the 19th century” were prepared and executed. The highlight of every visit is the demonstration of the largest steam engine in the world.

Before or after the museum visit, enjoy the English landscape garden and a lunch or cup of coffee in Theehuis Cruquius.
