The Medici history museum in Florence was born in 2019, on the occasion of the five hundredth anniversary of the birth of Cosimo I and Caterina de' Medici, with the aim of preserving and disseminating the history of the women and men who made Florence and Tuscany immortal. Today the collections of the Museo de' Medici are housed inside the Brunelleschi Rotonda, one of the most important monuments of the city with over 500 years of history.
