Fashion Museum is the first museum in Russia which engaged in studying, researching and promoting of fashion history as an important part and the phenomenon of material culture. The museum is founded in 2007, its exposition in Gostiny Dvor opened in December, 2015.
The collection of the Museum includes dresses, suits, headdresses, accessories and footwear of the end of the XIX—XXI century and contains more than 2000 exhibits from Russia, Western Europe and the USA, including, a set of author's and anonymous things, both mass, and unique. The museum actively collects Soviet dresses and accessories of 1920 – the 1980th years.
In the Museum take place exhibitions, cultural and educational actions, lectures, excursions, master classes, competitions, concerts and many other things.
In August, 2017 the Museum was headed by Oksana Fyodorova — the founder of charity foundation, the TV host, the winner of the competitions "Ms. Russia" and "Miss Universe".
Mission of the Museum – creation of the museum forum capable to integrate museum specialists, collectors, researchers, designers and bloggers.
