Map of the Vieux-Lyon
To end our tour, this is a marquetry that figures the map of the district of Vieux-Lyon.
This design was then achieved with veneers of different stones.
To distinguish buildings from streets or the river, different kinds of stones were deployed.
The sources are sometimes from very distant places. That is proof that the cut stone business entered in the whirl of globalization.
