Santa Ana Library: The statue in front of the Santa Ana Library facing Civic Center Drive is of Alex Odeh, a Palestinian American civil rights activist who served as the West Coast regional director for the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee. On October 11, 1985 he was assassinated at his Santa Ana office on 1905 W. Seventeenth Street.

The statue was dedicated April 10, 1994 in front of the Santa Ana Public Library on 26 Civic Center Plaza. The statue is of Odeh holding a book in one hand and a bird in the other hand which is held high. A forthcoming English translation of his Arabic poetry is currently in the planning stages.
