Batumi is one of three international airports in operation in Georgia along with Tbilisi and Kutaisi airports. It is a subsidiary of the Turkish TAV Group and is the second example of jointly operated airports reflected in the management of a shared airport premises between Georgia and Turkey. The Airport is located 7 kms from the center of Batumi in the direction of the Turkish border.

Apart from the typical functions of a facility of its kind, Batumi’s Airport is an outstanding tourist site. It is one of the few and not so many places around the world where you can stand in front of the landing strip and observe the incoming planes from over the sea. Make sure to check the schedule by clicking here http://www.batumiairport.com/en-EN/flights/departure-flights so you don’t have to wait too long for incoming planes.
