The Spanish artist BTOY is very much in demand because of her detailed portraits that she creates using stencils. She made use of electrical cabinets and doors for her stencil art in this area. BTOY chose to approach the theme of diversity in her own way, namely by drawing more attention to women. She explored the area and noticed that the streets named after writers, such as Douwes Dekker and Jacob van Lennep, who are mainly male. The only female writers to be found on the street signs in this neighbourhood are Agatha Deken and Elisabeth Wolf. For balance, she added portraits of female pioneers to the neighbourhood. She also made portraits of unknown black women whose stories have remained underexposed in history. The portrait seen here is that of a young black unknown woman.
