The small park in the middle of the residential area of Estreito, a neighbourhood on the mainland of Florianópolis, is a peaceful natural spot. In addition to small trails and children's toys, the wood contains a nineteenth-century Luso-Brazilian style building that houses the Presepio Museum.
There are two rooms with shelves in which 105 items represent the birth of Jesus. They are cribs from all regions of Brazil, as well other countries including Argentina, Chile and Israel.
You can also admire the house that occupies the 10 thousand square metre plot. Besides the areas occupied by the museum, you can see how the kitchen of the residence that belonged to the Mitra Diocesana of Florianópolis was.
The paths leading through the Atlantic forest are short and lead to a bamboo plantation, a small lake and a large garapuvu, a tree typical of the region and symbol of Florianópolis.
