The villa then named "Marinette" already exists on a plan dated January 16, 1865. It appears under the name Buffon on the general plan of the Domaine d'Arcachon drawn up in 1865, by the chief engineer Paul Régnauld, for the Compagnie des Chemins from Fer Midi. The Pereire brothers' real estate company is the owner. It is a family house with 10 master bedrooms, with very comfortable apartments near the Casino Mauresque.
