The trailhead of Bukit Batu Bujang Pahang begins from a parking lot. If you hadn’t walked the 3.5km from the jetty to the trailhead, a quick warm up session should help you limber up before the climb. Just before the climb, you’ll find a bamboo water trough that channels cool, clean water from the hill. For convenience, the MPK constructed concrete stairs up the foot of the hill to help you get started on the first leg.
To keep the trail as natural as possible, much of the forest is left to its own devices, allowing the shrubs and trees to overgrow on the path and sometimes, if not obstructing, naturally fallen trees are left to stoop overhead.
As you go further into the forest, we urge you to be wary of your surroundings. Creeping vines and exposed roots rest on the forest floors while wild branches may decorate the air at head-height.
