Hello,
Welcome to California Lighthouse!
Only a five-minute drive from Boca Catalina you find the California Lighthouse which is located on a hill with the best views of the island. For $5 you can enter the lighthouse and climb to the top for a 360-degree view but this does require lots of stairs. The lighthouse is an iconic spot on the island and an important landmark of Aruba’s history. The California lighthouse was constructed around 1914 and was named after a wooden steamship, the California. The ship was travelling to Central America and sunk after getting stranded on the rocks in the area because there was no lighthouse back then.
