Located on the riverside of the city, the Viana do Castelo Cultural Center was opened in July 2013. This is a project by the architect Souto Moura, dedicated to cultural and sporting events. Initially it was designated as a Coliseum, moving to a multipurpose pavilion and finally the Cultural Center of Viana do Castelo.
