Embassy of Russia in Havana, Cuba (architect Aleksandr Rochegov) is a striking constructivist architectural structure in the city in the heart of Miramar.

According to one version, the building looks like a sword, the one part tip of which is immersed in the earth, shows that the work of heroes complete — having taken upon himself the glorious battle, they obtained victory, the result of which was peace and quiet. And here we are talking about the "battle" with the United States, which is known as the "Caribbean crisis," and in this "battle", rather the battle of the mind, deservedly won Moscow and Havana.

This symbol has also moral value: the sense of it is that the pious Christian, who fought in the glorious battle and won the victory, eventually returning to earth , finding peace and awaiting the crown of immortality.

Construction began in December 1978 and was completed in November 1987. Originally there were the Embassy of the USSR, and after disintegration of the Soviet Union – the diplomatic mission of the Russian Federation.
