Rudolf Emil Reuter was a German immigrant who came to America in 1871 and arrived in the Bearlodge Mountains in 1893 and spent the rest of his life prospecting in the hills. He would occasionally come into Sundance for supplies. one of his mines is a little further down this trail on the left
