Entrance to the Park from the Hydrofoil Quay

The Peterhof Ticket Desks are located just in front of the bridge.

There’s a comfortable hydrofoil boat service called “Meteor”, operating to the Peterhof Palace. The journey time is approximately 30-35 minutes, and is significantly quicker and more convenient than any bus or train – but correspondingly more expensive. The “Meteor” hydrofoils depart each half-hour from the city-centre of St Petersburg, from the Lower Hermitage Pier (directly opposite the riverside entrance to the Winter Palace). The Meteor service runs along the Malaya Neva river, passing the Stock-Exchange and Tuchkov bridges, after which it enters the Gulf of Finland, following the Petrovsky Waterway to the Lower Park of Peterhof.

On a clear day you get a good view of the naval port of Kronstadt during the hydrofoil journey, and also the city flood barrier, and the Strelna Palace – one of the official residences of the Russian President. There’s a breathtaking panorama as the hydrofoil approaches the Lower Palace at Peterhof. You can buy your Peterhof admission ticket on arrival at the quay. There isn’t any other way of entering the Lower Park at Peterhof.

After your visit to the Peterhof Palace and Parks you can take the same Meteor hydrofoil service back to St Petersburg – it departs from the same quay as your arrival, and arrives back at the Winter Palace in the city.
