One of the oldest monuments in Tehran is the Golestan Palace, the former royal Qajar complex (1789 – 1925). Registered in UNESCO world heritage list, the Palace integrates both Iranian and European forms of art and architecture. The massive complex consists of 17 palaces, halls, and museums.
