Stop 3:Green Lake Aqua Theatre

The next stop is the Green lake aqua theatre which was built in 1950 for the first Sea-fair in order to house an attraction for dance, swimming and musicals. This has recently become one of the more troubling areas because of the homeless camp adjacent to the theatre.  Although there hasn't been anything proven or anyone charged there have been reports of the homeless population dumping pollution (waste) (Sewage) in and around the lake. The main issue surrounding the lake is the pollution and dumping by the homeless community who also have a campsite in the green lake area. The main concern in this article is citing “ A stretch along W Green Lake Way N, just off Aurora Ave. N, has become home to dozens of campers living in both tents and recreational vehicles”.  This is a large area of concern because the dumping and pollution is affecting the water quality at the lake.  This is when the “ Seattle Public Utilities’ Spill Response and Water Quality team has responded to five complaints about raw sewage dumped in the area around the encampment so far this year, although clean-up crews never found the spilled material”.
