Kriterion is the company name of the foundation, Stichting Onderlinge Studenten Steun. After the Second World War, this foundation was established from the student resistance. The aim of the foundation was to provide Amsterdam students with work, so they could pay for their studies. Kriterion Student Pump is one of the many projects set up by the foundation. Only students work here, which makes it unique in the world. There are currently 35 students working an average of 12 hours a week. The students are divided into different committees. For example, you have a committee that is responsible for purchasing, facility affairs, promotion, administration and human resources. The committee heads sit on the board that is headed by a chairman. Despite these structures, Kriterion Studentenpomp has a flat organizational structure, which means that decisions are made together, everyone is responsible and that everyone has the right to their own opinion. The students work hard to ensure every driver takes to the road with a good feeling. They have a wonderful tradition of warm croissants in the morning and serve delicious pastries throughout the day! If you prefer something savory, they have a snack wall full of delicious snacks, including halal meat and vegetarian options. In addition, they plenty of parking and a free toilet for you and everyone in your car. This is a great place to refuel both you and your car for the remainder of the tour.
