Another thing that one can try while in Borjomi is a train ride to Bakuriani. The railway between Borjomi and Bakuriani is more than 150 years old and was built by the Russian royal family.
The fare is modestly priced and the route passes a bridge that was built by none other than Gustav Eifel himself. The train departs from Borjomi’s railway station and travels through beautiful scenery with views of the adjoining Caucasus Mountains. Among the cons – the ride is a bit long, taking about an hour and for kids especially it may be tiresome.
Getting There: trains depart from Borjomi Railway Station next to the bazaar.
