Here we are at the Lindsay Brown Trail, which has been dedicated to the many volunteers who came together and transformed Capehart into an urban oasis of native forest habitat. Please note the signs asking people to keep dogs on leash and bikes off the trails to prevent the newly restored land from being destroyed. As we walk through this shorter trail, try to embrace solitude and disconnect from the struggles and anxiety of everyday life. There is so much biodiversity to appreciate here; various native trees, birds communicating with each other, and animals cohabitating. Also keep in mind, this sanctuary for people and wildlife would not have been possible without the public participating in conversation efforts. Now that we have explored part of Capehart Forest, lets walk through the Northern Hidden Valley Trail toward the wetlands.
