The academic quadrangle offers the perfect setting to explore and enjoy Loyola's trees. Loyola has a strong tradition of nurturing and caring for the many mature native trees. Our current tree inventory exceeds 2,200 trees and represents at least 84 different varieties, including 33 native species. The Loyola University Maryland Arboretum is a Level I Accreditation through the ArbNet program, recognizing our campus among other professional public gardens in the Morton Register of Arboreta. The Arboretum is also recognized by Arbor Day Foundation as Tree Campus USA.
Guests can find Quad Arboretum walking tour pamphlets at the literature stand by the campus map just outside of Jenkins Hall. Access the tour directly through the IZI.Travel App or scan the QR code inside the pamphlet with your smartphone.
