Mary McVicker Booth was an actress married in 1869 to Shakespearian actor Edwin Booth. Booth was the brother of President Lincoln’s Assassin, John Wilkes Booth. Her step-father, James Hubert McVicker, was the proprietor of McVicker’s theater, the leading stage for comedic plays in Chicago's early years.
