Around Bo’ness town centre you’ll find buildings designed by two local heroes, Matt Steele and James Thomson. This distinctive Matt Steele building, dating from 1911, used to be home to the local shop Wevlings. It now houses a bakery and café. Across from this block, on the corner of Commissioner Street and Main Street are council houses also designed by Steele.
(In front of the café is an information board telling you more about the town centre).
