Many of the people attending the celebration of the Montebello water festival may not be aware of the Montebello Waste Water Lake. It's where everything that is filtered out of the Montebello Lake goes afterward. The photo used here was taken in 2013 for Google Maps. It shows water from the waste waster lake overflowing back into Lake Montebello. Just recently in 2016, it was decided that the waste water lake should be dredged partially to prevent that from happening. This lake is also connected to Herring Run via a small creek.
