Last weekend, a monument to the outstanding engineer and entrepreneur Nikolai Putilov was unveiled at the entrance of the Kirov Plant on Stachek Avenue in St. Petersburg. This was reported by the press service of Smolny.
The ceremony was attended by the Governor Alexander Beglov. He recalled that this year marks the 200th anniversary of the birth of Nikolai Ivanovich Putilov. The monument is made of bronze. The sculpture was placed on a high granite pedestal. The author of the monument was Konstantin Garapach. For its opening, the square near the metro station "Kirovsky Zavod" was landscaped, where now there are well-groomed lawns and benches.
