The monument is located near the museum of Saken Seifullin - at the corner of Saken Seifullin and Mukhtar Auezov streets.
Saken Seifullin was born on October 15, 1894 in Akmola district, the founder of modern Kazakh literature, statesman. Founder of the Writers' Union of Kazakhstan. He was posthumously rehabilitated after Stalin's death.
The monument was installed on October 14, 1994, the year of the 100th anniversary of the famous writer and poet, literary critic, teacher and composer.
Authors of sculptor are Azat KhambetovichBayarlinand architect Areg Sarkisovich Demirkhanov, Bolatbek Konysbay.
The authors put the most basic personality type of a polyhedral personality - the poet, creator and educator - at the basis of the ideological design of the portrait monument. The entire artistic structure of the monument - composition, plastic, material, the general style of the interpretation of the image - are subordinate to this task. Preserved portrait features of the poet and psychological truthfulness, recreated the image of sublime beauty and vitality.
The monument is made of bronze and granite.
