This magnificent palace, consisting of a house, three outbuildings and a fence, was built at the end of the 18th century and belonged to Count Musin-Pushkin, who was a famous historian, archeologist, collector of the treasures of ancient Russia, publisher of written monuments. Many outstanding scientists worked in his library, and the basis of the collection of the graph were ancient books and manuscripts donated by the Empress Catherine the Second. In the fire of 1812, the manor was severely damaged, and the richest library turned to ashes. Many famous people owned this wonderful house back in the times. Today, the building hosts the Moscow State University of Civil Engineering, and its students and teachers continue the work of Moscow architects.
