Founded in 1975 by Gennaro Manna, the Teatro Palapartenope was founded in Viale Augusto, then moved in 1980 to Via C. Barbagallo on land owned by the Mostra d'Oltremare with a initially capacity of 1,250, then of 2,200 and finally of 6,500 seats of which 3,300 sat. To this is added The House of Music Federico I, a structure intended for the needs of a younger audience with modern and dynamic set-ups with a capacity of 1,200 spectators. The Palapartenope theatre has been having its activity in the entertainment world for over 40 years, hosting millions of spectators and top personalities in the most diverse sectors. Now it can well be defined as the most famous and beloved temple of music, culture, congresses and sport not only of Naples but of the whole south. Continuously modernized and updated in technologies and organization, the Palapartenope Complex has seen its facilities host all the most established singers and musicians of the national and international scene, important political congresses, prestigious conferences and corporate conventions, boxing sports events, billiards, full contact, karate, roller, body building and then dèfilèes, tourist promotions, exhibitions, competitions, etc.
