Peoples Friendship Monument

The monument devoted to the 400 anniversary of uniting Udmurtia and Russia, was open in 1972. It is a symbol of the capital of Izhevsk and all Udmurt Republic. The height of the monument is 46 m. On the right and on the left there is the phrase "Glory to great brotherly friendship of the Russian and Udmurt people" in two languages (Russian and Udmurt). The monument is on the bank of the Izhevsk pond. The road conducts from it to the Central square of the city.
