Riga Film Museum was founded in 1988. The relatively small yet cozy house in the Old Town features a permanent exhibition on the history of Latvian cinema – “The Cinema Cabinet”, it also offers temporary exhibitions as well as special events. Since 2010 Riga Film Museum is part of the Latvian Academy of Culture. The museum consists of exhibition rooms, the office in the Old Town, as well as the collection located in Pārdaugava, in the house of Theater Museum.
