Saint Sernin basilica
Overview
Reviews 0

In the year 250, Saint Saturnin was dragged, hung on a bull, for several hundred meters. Several sanctuaries were erected for this martyrdom, then, in the 11th century, the Basilica of Saint Sernin was built in his honour.

This basilica is an emblem of Toulouse, and a jewel of Romanesque architecture: its round arcades, its numerous capitals and its 67m high bell tower.
