The San Gabriel River Bike Trail is a 28-mile path from Azusa to Seal Beach running alongside the San Gabriel River and the 605 freeway. Starting from the north, the path begins near the Azusa River Wilderness Park alongside San Gabriel Canyon Road (State Route 39) just north of Azusa. On its way south, the trail passes the Santa Fe Dam Recreation Area in Irwindale, The Whittier Narrows Natural Area in South El Monte, El Dorado Regional Park in Long Beach, and numerous small parks along the way. Along its route, the trail crosses 9 major freeways and highways: the 210, the 10, the 60, the 5, the 105, the 91, the 405, the 22, and Pacific Coast Highway. Its southern terminus is at the Seal Beach Jetty near Alamitos Bay.
