Smile - Stinkfish

Born in Mexico and raised in Colombia, the artist Stinkfish recreates portraits from photos he takes of people he doesn't know. This artwork is based on a photo of a child. The portrait was created using a simple stencil technique which he applied along with the background on the first day of production. The second day he made all the details in freestyle, so without sketches. For this mural, he was also influenced by the environment. For example, the raindrops refer to the continuous rain during the 2nd day of production. And for the small green leaves around the face, he was inspired by the tree next to the wall. He made these small leaves for this portrait for the first time, and later used them in many other works.
