St. Alban Quartier

The St. Alban District is romantic and contains many historical buildings. Narrow alleys and water courses are characteristic of the district between the Rhine and the city centre. Even craftsmanship is still cultivated as of old, for instance at the Basel Paper Mill, where only water power aids the manual production of paper. On the way to the Paper Museum you'll come across St. Alban's monastery and the old town wall.
