We stay in front of a building. You all might have seen it already, because it is the symbol of Russia — Saint Basil's Cathedral.  It was built from 1555 to 1561 on orders from Ivan the Terrible and commemorates the capture of Kazan and Astrakhan. It was the city's tallest building until the completion of the Ivan the Great Bell Tower in 1600.

Miraclely, It wasn't hurt much in the Fire of Moscow in 1812. It was totally repaired already in 1816. After it the storu of cathedral had many other miracles and one of the main is that it wasn't demolished by soviet government and became a history museum.

Nowadays Saint Basil's Cathedral is a building, which is a heart of the Red Square. Cathedral represents Moscow and all the Russia.

Also we can see a monument to Minin and Pozharskiy. These persons played a big role in russian history. They were the leaders of people's rebellion versus polish intervents during the Time of Troubles. They symbolize the unity of the Russia and russian people.

Now let's go to the last poin of our route. It is right behind us on a right side, a huge building of GUM
