Stewart Hall opened in 1894 but was not called that until 1950 when the name was dedicated to former faculty members John Keats Stewart and Harriet Wylie Stewart for their dedication and service to the school and to keep their memory alive. The building contained a gym that was known as 'one of the finest and most modern of it's time' which also contained an indoor track. As a new gym was built, Stewart Hall became a place for storage and the boy's dorm.
