The 268 meter high Çamlıca Hill offers one of the most spectacular views of Istanbul and the Bosphorus. This hill has always been a popular destination for locals and, of course, many tourists.
The impressive mosque on the left was recently opened on March 7, 2019, and is the largest place of worship in Turkey. The official inauguration as well as the naming will take place at a later date.
Like the Blue Mosque in Sultanahmet, it also has six minarets, four of them are 107 meters high, the other two are 90 meters high. The interior, decorated with elaborate ceiling paintings, accommodates 63,000 worshipers.
The cost of the building, whose construction began in 2013, is estimated at around 70 million euros
