The Church of Santa Croce was built on an older structure at the end of the sixteenth century. The church owes its dedication to the gift of a relic of the Holy Cross by Princess Aloisia Moncada.
You will be amazed by the church’s interior with its golden stucco décor.
Here’s a little trivia, the annexed convent became a high school later linked to two important writers: Leonardo Sciascia and Vitaliano Brancati. The first one studied here while the second used to teach literature at the institute.
