Alexander Tulkin is a wonderful artist from Bashkortostan who brought professional arts to the republic. He was born in Ufa and spent here all his life. He called this small nice greenhouse “a little piece of the world space that belongs to me”. The house also was the center of the city cultural life: artists, poets, writers, and musicians spent time together here. They played music, performed their poems and exhibited their paintings. They talked about arts and worked here, and the most significant Tulkin’s works were made here. Some of them you can see right here and some we’ll see a little later.
Come into the house - the interior is the same as the one that was here when Tulkin was alive. Furniture, paintings, workshop - everything is safe since the day of his death. Even the garden: these apple-trees were planted by him and a sculpture of a girl was placed here by him. And, of course, an amazing view of the Belaya river, which was the reason for him to buy the house, is still the same.
The museum started his work in 1989 when the widow of the artist decided to immortalize the memory of her husband.
Nowadays many lectures, concerts and poetry evenings often take place here just like years ago.
