Kostanay earth is rich with great people, legendary personalities who, through their actions, forced to talk about themselves the whole world. Such people include: Ibrai Altynsarin, Beimbet Mailin, Shokan Ualikhanov. Now we come to the monument as a statesman, scientist, Akhmet Baitursynov. He was born in 1873 in Sarytubek township near the village of Yzban Zhangeldin area of Kostanay. When Ahmet was thirteen years old, in the village came the police led by Yakovlev colonel and ransacked, his father and three brothers were not citizens of bullying and beat Colonel. For it were sent to 15 years in Siberia.
Ahmet Baitursynov studied literacy at the village mullahs. He graduated from the four-a, teacher's school based Ibrahim Altynsarin. While working in Kostanay County Ahmet Baitursynov lived in Forester's House, where his daughter loved Alexander Ivanovna. They were married. Their marriage took place in Muslim in Kostanay, and it changed its name and became known as Bajtursynova Badrisaf Muhametsadyk. They had no children.
In the year 1905, Ahmet Baitursynov actively involved in political activities. In 1907, he was first imprisoned for criticizing the imperial administration. In the year 1913 Akhmet Baitursynov, along with former Deputy of the State Duma's first Alihan Bukejhanov and poet and writer Mirzhakyp Dulatov opens the Portland newspaper "Kazakh".
The newspaper lasted 5 years. During this time, she became the main national socio-political, scientific and literary publication.
In October 1937 year Ahmet Baitursynov was again arrested, and two months later, on December 8, shot as "enemy of the people" by the verdict. Only in 1988 year, Ahmet Baitursynov was rehabilitated posthumously. The tomb of the great son of Kazakh people is located near the city of Almaty.
Monument to Baitursynov is made in the year 2000. As you can see, he is pictured sitting at a desk form. The height of 2 meters, sculptures made of copper and is installed on a pedestal is encased in granite blocks. Sculptor Niyazymbetov Tulegen Dasmagamebetov. The name Kostanay is assigned to Baitursynov State University, which is located on the same street.
