The monument to Rasul Gamzatov

The monument to Rasul Gamzatov. The monument to the people's poet of Dagestan is set on Yauzsky Boulevard in July 2013. The initiator of the appearance of the sculpture was the International Public Foundation Rasul Gamzatov. This sculptural composition was performed by a creative team, which included such eminent architects as I. Novikov, Sh. Kanaigadzhiev and A. Tikhonov. The opening of the memorial is timed to the 90th anniversary of the birth of the poet.

The poet loved Dagestan with all his heart, considered him his "first mother", and called his "second mother" Russia and Moscow. "Two mothers - like two wings, like two hands, two eyes, two songs".
