It is located on the left bank of the Baïse and it was created by the grandfather of Henri IV, Henri 1er d'Albret. A veritable pleasure garden, as the Pavillon des Bains du Roy still bears witness to.
This octagonal construction crowned with a stone cornice recalls the forms of the Italian Renaissance.
Oral tradition says that courtiers and courtesans came there to undress and then enjoy the baths in the river.
But it is more likely that the pavilion served as a snack shelter for this courtyard which strolled through the gardens. Became a public space in 1807, the garden is divided and sold in lots. From this memory of the 16th century and attached to this pavilion was born in 2009 a garden of renaissance evocation.
