The work of the famous architect Ivan Egotov in the style of classicism also includes the gazebo "Temple of Ceres". Ancient architecture as a sign of style has a great influence on this building. In ancient Roman mythology, Ceres was especially revered as the goddess of agriculture and harvest. Paying tribute to classicism, a statue of Ceres was erected in the gazebo. Also the sculptor placed a sickle and a sheaf in the hands of the goddess. Another sheaf is also installed above the dome of the gazebo. According to this element, the building received its second name – "Golden Sheaf".
