The Three Sieges Monument was realized in 1912 by Bartholdi and Louis Noël. On three occasions during the 19th century Belfort was besieged and resisted. In the centre, the helmeted figure of France supports the female figure embodying Belfort. At the rear a small Alsatian girl leads a young fighter towards Belfort.
