This Palace is built by the Mysore Ruler Hyder Ali and his son Tipu Sultan as their summer retreat in Bangalore. Hyder Ali initiated the construction and Tipu Sultan completed the works and during their time it went by the name ‘Rashq-e-Jannat’ which means ‘Envy of heaven’.
