The present day company, the Faldis Group of Venice, ex Toffolo Shipyard, was founded in 1910 as the G. Toffolo naval workyard. It specializes in the repair and construction of all types of vessels, traditional boats included. Starting from the 1960s, over 100 people worked here on the construction of different types of ships, such as tankers, ferries, and boats for the transport of people and goods, including Venice’s typical vaporetti. In 1991 its business strategy changed and now it only deals with naval repair and maintenance. Thanks to its lengthy experience in the field, today it not only specializes in woodworking, painting, fibreglassing and anti-osmosis cycles, but also deploys some of its workforce in the evolving sector of recreation and pleasure boating.
