51 Malysheva Street
Vysotsky is the first skyscraper built in Ekaterinburg. It symbolises the ambitions and aspirations of the city. Together with the Iset Tower in Ekaterinburg City, these two skyscrapers are the tallest buildings in Russia east of Moscow. Vysotsky was built between 2006 and 2011. It has 54 floors. The height of the building is 188.3 metres.
At the very top of the building there is a swimming pool that is open all year round. On the 52nd floor, at a height of 186 metres, there is an open-air observation deck with a beautiful all-round view of the city.
In addition, the skyscraper houses restaurants, a hotel, and offices of successful Ural companies.
Vladimir Vysotsky visited Sverdlovsk only twice, but he did not like the city. Here are just a few of his statements: "Strontium falls as snow, people die like in Sweden," "The city is so dull," "They who can live here perform a feat every minute." Vladimir Vysotsky would hardly have imagined that the first skyscraper in this city would be named after him and that its lower floors would house the outstanding Museum of Vladimir Vysotsky displaying the poet's belongings and even the legendary Mercedes 350 W 116, which Vladimir Vysotsky once drove around Moscow
