The Willie Clarke Visitor Centre is a good place to start your tour around Lochore Meadows.
Here you’ll find information and displays to help you navigate your way around the park – as well as a café and toilets.
At one time, this area was home to seven pits. They all closed between 1959 and 1966. Since the late 1960s, reclamation work has transformed the site into the park you see today.
Lochore currently attracts thousands of visitors each year.
It has also become a haven for wildlife. Countryside Ranger Dallas Seawright tells us about some of the species which love Lochore.
