Located at the heart of the city, the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Shopping Complex (or simply called Yayasan by locals) is a one-stop shopping center which officially opened back in 1996. Some people visiting the complex take photos by the large water fountain outside. Facing one end of the promenade, you’ll be able to see the Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque in the horizon.
Yayasan holds public events from time-to-time such as those involving arts and culture, fashion, food, sports, hobbies, and many others! Since late 2020, the area outside the complex has been lively with small nightly events and stalls.
